Flucloxacillin (Flucloxacillin) is a type of penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia, sinusitis, urinary tract infections and many others. This medication is effective in treating bacterial infections that are resistant to other types of penicillin antibiotics.
Patients should never exceed the dosage prescribed to them by their physician. Continue to take this medicine until you completed your course of medication as prescribed even if your symptoms have disappeared. If allowed to, bacterial infections can return with a greater resistance to medication, making them far harder to treat.
Consult your physician immediately if you notice any of the following less common serious side effects:
- Muscle aches
- Yellowing of the eyes or skin
- Inflammation of the large intestine
- Changes in your white blood cell count
