Description
Minirin (Desmopressin Acetate) is prescribed to patients to treat the symptoms of diabetes insipidus, such as excessive urination and thirst. It can also be used to help treat bed wetting in children, nocturia in adults, and frequent urination caused by certain brain injuries or surgery. In addition to these uses, this medication has also been used to treat hemophilia and von Willebrand`s disease. It works by replacing a hormone called vasopressin, which is responsible for helping to balance the amount of salt and water found within the body.

- Upset stomach
- Loose stools
- Flushing or skin redness
- Abnormal behavior or mood changes
Do not use this medication if you suffer from any type of electrolyte imbalance or fluid imbalance.
